Signatures of gluon saturation from structure-function measurements

We study experimentally observable signals for nonlinear QCD dynamics in deep inelastic scattering (DIS) at small Bjorken variable $x$ and moderate virtuality $Q^2$, by quantifying differences between the linear Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution with Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation. To remove effect of parametrization freedom initial conditions both equations, we first match predictions DIS structure functions $F_2$ $F_{\rm L}$ from frameworks a region $x,Q^2$ where should provide an accurate description relevant physics. The are then quantified deviations when one moves away this matching region. For free protons find that remain few-percent level, while larger, up to $10\,\%$ EIC $40\,\%$ LHeC kinematics. With heavy nucleus $F_2$, can reach $20\,\%$ $60\,\%$ LHeC, respectively.
